 Day
1: HANOI – MAI CHAU
Pick up at your hotel in Hanoi at 8:00 am. Drive to Mai chau (150 km) .
Visit Muong minority village in Hoa binh. Lunch en route. Then, continue
going on to Mai Chau. Evening: enjoy pipe-rice-wine and folk dance
performance of the local people. Dinner and night on stilted-house in
Thai minority village.
Day
2: MAI CHAU – SON LA
Breakfast. Trek around the villages, then drive to Son La (180 km) with
stops on the way for taking pictures . Lunch en route. Dinner and night
at a mini hotel.
Day
3: SON LA – DIEN BIEN
Leave Son la for Dien bien. Lunch in Dien bien. PM: visit Dien bien phu
battle field, Army museum, villages of ethnic groups. Dinner and night
at mini hotel.
Day
4: DIEN BIEN – LAI CHAU
Drive on to Lai Chau, passing the highest mountain pass in Vietnam.
Today we will have a chance to visit one of the most colorful hill tribe
markets, where there are many different ethnic minority people joining
in. Dinner and overnight in guest house.
Day
5: LAI CHAU - SAPA
Tranfer from Lai chau to Sa pa (180 km) with sightseeing stops along the
road. Lunch en route. PM: visit Ham Rong mountain, trekking to minority
villages, walking to Catcat minority village of H’mong ethnic group,
trek towards beautiful valleys. Enjoy romantic pictures of mountains,
water falls, terrace fields... Over night at a mini hotel in Sapa. Visit
the "night market" of the hill tribes.
Day
6: SAPA - HANOI
Return to Lao Cai station to catch night train back to Ha Noi. Overnight
on train. Arrive in Ha Noi at 5.00 am ( 370 km).
