Hue: is Vietnam's former imperial capital under the Nguyen Dynasty (1802 to1945). Hue has been recognized by UNESCO as a world cultural heritage due to its royal architecture complex and town planning. Many ancient buildings remain such as tombs, palaces and pagodas that are highly recommended tourist spots. A tour around the "Imperial City" and a trip on the Perfume River will make your trip unforgettable by showing you the region’s historical sights: The Imperial Citadel,

the Mausoleums of emperors Tu Duc, Khai Dinh, Minh Mang and numerous pagodas are not to be missed. The old moss and rust-stained buildings give the city an atmosphere that seems frozen in time.

Da nang, on the southern side of the Hai van Pass, is Vietnam's fourth largest city. Da nang is home to the Cham Museum; also, China Beach, is now becoming a popular beach resort here. There are also many other beautiful beaches in Da nang. Stretching for several kilometers, these fine sandy beaches with sunshine year round make them suitable for tourism in all seasons.

Hoi an is the charming little town that lies 30km South of Da nang. Once known as Fai fo, Hoi an was one of the orient's most prosperous sea ports in the 16th and 17th centuries. Today, most of Old Hoi An still remains unchanged. With its narrow streets and mix of architectures, a walking tour is the best way to discover the town.
Inland and a half-day trip from Hoi an is My son, where the capital of the once great Champa Kingdom stood. Its large community of foreign merchants resulted in a unique architectural style blending Vietnamese, Chinese and Japanese cultures.

My son is Vietam's most important Cham culture site. My son become a religious center in the late 4th century that lasted till the 13th century. My son is considered to be Champa's counterpart to the grand cities of Southeast Asia's other Indian–influenced civilizations, namely Angkor (Cambodia), Ayuthaya (Thailand) and Borobudur (Indonesia). 68 significant Hindu temples, most dedicated to Shiva, were built.

The towers are built of a combination of perfectly fitted fired bricks and elaborately carved sand-stone bas-relief panels. Only 25 of these survived the centuries of pillaging by Chinese and Khmer invaders, as well as U.S. bombings.

The Demilitarized Zone consists of an area 5km to both sides of the 17th parallel. Serving as a demarcation line between South Vietnam and North Vietnam according to the Geneva treaty of 1954. The small river of Ben Hai has become well-known. During the Vietnam war, the area just south of the DMZ was the scene of some of the bloodiest battles of the conflict. During the war, Dong ha, Quang tri, Con tien, Khe sanh became household names in Vietnam and the US
