Vietnam Destinations

To many, the name Vietnam brings to mind some remote corner of South East Asia once ravaged by devastating wars and long suffering from poverty. Yet, few recognize that beyond those images lies the real Vietnam, a smiling, optimistic country with its tremendous changes aimed at adapting to the outside world. It still hides many attractions for you to explore branching both the older and the newer civilization.
Vietnam has been at peace for almost twenty years. Is has now opened up its wide doors to welcome visitors. Now, and no other time, is the time to discover this exciting Vietnam.

Geographically, Vietnam is roughly divided into three main regions: Northern Vietnam, with Hanoi as the capital city, is renowned for its graciousness and millennial culture; Central Vietnam,  with Hue -the former capital of feudal Vietnam for 143 years- has always been famous for the magnificent architecture of its

imperial citadels, royal palaces and mausoleums; and Southern Vietnam, with the vast green area of the Mekong River Delta crisscrossing the landscape beyond one's sight.

Wherever you travel in Vietnam, you will always feel the warm, natural, and hospitable concern and cheerful demeanor of the friendly and peace-loving Vietnamese.

With no less than 54 ethnic minorities adding to the richness of Vietnamese culture, centuries old traditions and customs are still evident in Vietnam's everyday life: Embroidery, ceramics, basketry and lacquer ware- are all available to visitors interested in bringing home something unique from Vietnam.
